Headquartered in Tyler, Texas, Tanos Exploration, LLC is a privately held company formed to capitalize on the principal’s extensive experience in the horizontal development of the lucrative tight gas reservoir plays of the Ark-La-Tex basins. In December 2007, Tanos partnered with Natural Gas Partners, a major private equity provider, to accelerate its plans for drilling and acquisitions in the Cotton Valley and emerging Haynesville play of East Texas and Northern Louisiana.
Tanos believes excellent opportunities exist to create value in these basins pursuing a strategy of implementing the latest in horizontal drilling and completion technologies while closely managing risk exposure. The company’s management team and technical staff are at the forefront of the industry in the application of tight reservoir technologies and have a proven track record of success and value creation.
